2018:

 

The Year of 2018 was filled with more daunting and more grandiose challenges than ever before, but the HTV team stepped up to the plate to produce bigger and better content. Here is a selection of such content this year.

 

 

Father and Son “Love without Phones”

‘Father and Son’ Team Mark and Caleb Cuffe have just released their first single.

Ozzie Fikri from Highlands tv flew down to Melbourne to shoot the music video, and Michael Turczynski edited it back at the Highlands tv Studio.

On asking Ozzie What it was like to work with this dynamic Father and son team he said “Mark and Caleb and two really nice guys and I love their style and music, I hope a lot of people start to follow them and purchase their music so they don’t have to remove rubbish anymore. You can see they had a rubbish removal job the day I shot the video.”

“Love Without Phones” went on to win the Best Music Video category of the Zedd Music Festival in California, United States.

Iris Foundation for Women Masquerade Girls Night Out

The IRIS Foundation for Women is an association created by four local members of the Southern Highlands Community who want to make a difference to the lives of women fighting cancer.

Each of us, our friends, our family members, have all been exposed to, in some way or another, the devastation caused by this horrible illness. Cancer amongst women is becoming more and more prevalent every year, even in a small community like ours … and we want to help!

Food and Wine Festival 2018

In what was one the biggest tourism weekends in the Southern Highlands history, with over 7,000 people sipping and tasting there way around the iconic Bradman Oval for the 7th annual Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival.

RockCan 2018

Interchange Australia’s ‘RockCan’, the concert of disability awareness, returns to the Mittagong RSL. Their mainstay band, ‘The Hidden Wonders’, is completely comprised clients and support staff of Interchange Australia, brings the house down with a variety of new compositions, as well as some crowd favourites. ‘RockCan’ provides support for the clients who’s dream is to pursue a life of music, whether fronting the band or helping backstage, with a variety of activities such as equipment set-ups, helping with promotions, and regular rehearsal sessions.

Gossip's Bollywood Spectacular

A Bollywood Spectacular Experience hosted by Gossip Hair & Beauty in association with Luminous Entertainment and Aveda Australia. This evening will showcase a culture of Glamour and Fun with all proceeds going to Aveda's Charity Earth Month - providing clean water to less fortunate communities around the world! 

Black Dog "Groove Away the Blues" 2018

The Highlands Health Club hosted their third annual fundraiser for mental health awareness and suicide prevention in support of the Black Dog Institute. 

With a wide variety of musical talent set to showcase, and a fantastic three course dinner, there will be non-stop entertainment for the gala fundraiser attendees.

Seven course Alpaca Degustation at the Glass Cafe Mittagong

What an exciting night with head chef Peter Oakley dazzling local Alpaca farmers Ian and Harvey from Illawarra Prime Alpaca and Mick Williams from Storybook Alpacas.

The proprietor of the Glass Cafe Mittagong Leanne Ferreira says the night was a great success and she looks forward to more.

Sydney North Dance 2018

A stellar performance form the students of Sydney North Dance in their 2018 end of year concert.

The HIGHLANDS tv production team were all hands on deck to capture this great performance, Oz from Highlands tv said “I love filming this show every year and enjoying Korean BBQ afterwards.”
